ONBOARDING INSTRUCTIONS:

Step 1: Volunteer Guide

Step 2: Onboarding Packet
Read and sign the forms in the Volunteer Onboarding Packet. Digital signatures are acceptable but you can also print out each page and hand sign. You can email these forms to volunteer@agencyonaging4.org or return them with the other forms as instructed in Step 4.

Step 3: Background Check
Complete your background check via the instructions in the Background Check Packet. Follow the instructions on the first page. Hand-inked signatures required (digial signatures not acceptable).

Step 4: Returning all forms

You will have to deliver the Onboarding Packet forms and the completed Background Check forms in person to our offices in central Sacramento.

Once you have completed all the above tasks, please return all forms to Agency on Aging Area 4 at 1401 El Camino Ave., 4th Floor, Sacramento, CA 95815 anytime between 9:00am -12:00pm or 1:00pm - 4:00pm Monday through Friday.

Important: We cannot access your background check results until we receive all forms. Processing can take several days, so please submit your documents at least 5 business days before deadline. Your volunteer service cannot begin until all steps are completed.

Step 5: Training Videos

While you await background check results, the next step is to complete the below training videos. 

IMPORTANT: After each training, you will receive a certificate of completion—download it, save as a .pdf file, sign each certificate and upload below. Pay close attention to instructions or you may have to watch the whole video again to receive the certificate! 

ALSO IMPORTANT: Make sure the certificate is wholly visible in the pdf document and make sure you have signed it before uploading it!

  1. Mandated Reporter Training
  2. California Department of Aging Privacy and Information Security Awareness Training
  3. Sexual Harassment Prevention Training (nonsupervisory)

After you have completed the training videos, please download, sign and email the certificates to volunteer@agencyonaging4.org
