We’re excited to have you on board and appreciate your commitment to making a difference in our community. You’re well on your way—just a few more steps to complete the onboarding process.
We hope this information will help you navigate each task with ease. If you have any questions along the way, please don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re here to support you every step of the way. You can always reach us at volunteer@agencyonaging4.org.
VOLUNTEER ONBOARDING PROCESS FOR SACRAMENTO VOLUNTEERS:
Step 1: Review the Volunteer Guide
Download and review the Agency on Aging Area 4 Volunteer Guide.
Step 2: LiveScan Background Check & Fingerprinting
Print the Request for LiveScan Service form. This is a 2-page form. Fill out the blue highlighted sections on page 2 only.
Step 3: Visit a LiveScan location
We recommend Capital LiveScan at: 5706 Broadway, Sacramento, CA. You can also find other walk-in locations at: https://www.capitallivescan.com/walk-in-services
Bring both pages of the form with you. The LiveScan staff will complete their portion and return the form to you. Do not pay for the service; Agency on Aging Area 4 covers the cost. If asked, let them know your background check is billed to AAA4.
Step 4: Volunteer Onboarding Packet (Policy Acknowledgment & Authorization Forms)
Complete the forms in the Volunteer Onboarding Packet. This is an 14-page packet with information about our policies and procedures. Also includes an Authorization Form allowing us to access your background check.
Sign all forms by hand. Use a blue or black pen. Digital signatures are not accepted.
Step 5: Submitting Your Forms
Once both tasks are complete, return the Live Scan form and all other signed documents from your onboarding packet. You can submit them in person or by mail to the Agency on Aging Area 4 office.
RETURN TO: Agency on Aging Area 4, 1401 El Camino Ave., 4th Floor, Sacramento, CA 95815
After your onboarding is complete, we’ll invite you to an online orientation and any role-specific trainings you may need.
